‘Yellowstone’ Season 5 Will Not End the Show, After All

Yellowstone is set to end after the upcoming second half of Season 5, but according to a new report, the show will go on, with several of its biggest stars negotiating to return for a sixth season.

TVLine reports that Yellowstone will return for Season 6 with Cole Hauser (Rip Wheeler) and Kelly Reilly (Beth Dutton) stepping up to replace the show’s departing star, Kevin Costner (John Dutton) as the stars of the smash hit Western, citing a new report from Puck News.

According to Puck, Hauser and Reilly are working on deals to extend their participation in the show, which was previously slated to come to an end after the second half of Season 5 airs late in 2024.

Paramount announced the show was coming to an end in a press release in May, with a sequel planned to replace the show after Costner departed his role of John Dutton following stalled negotiations with the show’s producers.

Hauser and Reilly were long rumored to reprise their Yellowstone roles in a sequel titled 2024, alongside Matthew McConaughey, who was rumored to headline the show.

However, Paramount recently announced that the Yellowstone sequel will star Michelle Pfeiffer and former Suits star Patrick J. Adams, under the title the Madison. McConaughey no longer appears to be attached to the project, while Kurt Russell’s rumored participation remains unconfirmed.
