Tulsa-based alternative metal band XIII Minutes returns with renewed fire and focus on their latest single “Who Told You?,” out now via NRT Music.

A reimagining of a standout track from their critically acclaimed 2019 album Obsessed, the new version delivers a sharpened sonic punch and deeper lyrical urgency that speaks directly into the confusion and distortion of modern culture.

Originally written by band members Jamie Kucinski, Aaron Smith and Michael Rowley, “Who Told You?” confronts the lies we so often believe about ourselves–the messages we’ve absorbed from broken voices, false identities, and inner battles. With the raw intensity fans have come to expect from XIII Minutes, the track challenges listeners to pause and ask a defining question: Who told you those things? It’s a call to uncover the source of deception and reclaim the truth.

XIII Minutes–now composed of lead vocalist Jerrod Cunningham, guitarist and backing vocalist Thomas Wheat, and drummer Jamie Kucinski–has been a staple in the Christian hard rock and metal scene since forming in late 2015. After releasing Obsessed to high praise and navigating lineup changes and a brief hiatus, the band reemerged in 2022 with fresh momentum and a new label partnership with NRT Music.

With “Who Told You?” the band blends fierce riffs, honest lyrics, and explosive emotion into a sonic experience that’s both confrontational and healing–inviting the listener to break away from the lies and fight for truth.
