After Kendrick Lamar was announced as the 2025 Apple Music Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show performer, there’s something every Swiftie is wondering: Will their Queen drop in for a surprise duet?
Taylor Swift and the “Alright” rapper re-teamed up to bring new life to her sassy hit, “Bad Blood,” a year ago, for the release of 1989 (Taylor’s Version).
Hours after the album dropped, Swift praised Lamar on her Instagram.
“The reality that Kendrick would go back in and re-record Bad Blood so that I could reclaim and own this work I’m so proud of is surreal and bewildering to me,” she captioned a photo of her and Lamar sitting together at the time.
She noted that working with the rapper “was one of the most inspiring experiences of my life.”
“I still look back on this collaboration with so much pride and gratitude, for the ways Kendrick elevated the song and the way he treats everyone around him,” Swift added.
With the two music legends having worked together, there is hope that the “Karma” singer will grace the stage.
Plus, she is besties with Jay-Z, whose company Roc Nation has sway when it comes to who performs, and his wife, the Beyonce.

On Sept. 7 (Sunday), it was announced that the Pulitzer Prize-winning Lamar will be returning to the Super Bowl.
He posted a video on social media and his YouTube channel sharing the news.
In the clip, the 37-year-old rapper is seen on a football field, standing in front of an American flag as he shoots footballs out of an automatic passing machine.
“My name’s Kendrick Lamar and I’ll be performing at Super Bowl LIX. Will you be pulling up? I hope so. You know it’s only one opportunity to win a championship. No round twos,” the Grammy-winning rapper says.
“I won’t want you to miss it. Meet me in New Orleans. Feb. 9, 2025. Wear your best dress, too, even if you watch it from home,” Lamar adds.
The video conclude with the date of the Super Bowl and the Apple Music logo.
Lamar previously performed with Mary J. Blige, Snoop Dogg, Eminem and 50 Cent for Dr. Dre‘s star-studded performance at Super Bowl LVI.
The big game takes place at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on Feb. 9, 2025. Swift has shows coming up there in October.
