Zach Bryan‘s Quittin’ Time Tour swung through Nashville on Saturday night (June 29), delivering plenty of unforgettable moments for the crowd. Kacey Musgraves even made a special appearance to sing her Grammy-winning hit duet with Bryan, “I Remember Everything.”
But the biggest surprise guest of the night wasn’t even a country singer at all. During a performance of his song “Revival,” Bryan brought out 23-year-old Hailey Welch, known to the Internet as the “Hawk Tuah” girl after she gave a hilarious, and decidedly NSFW, street interview earlier this summer.
Welch’s street interview was filmed in downtown Nashville, and according to the Tennessean, she’s a native of the area. Beyond that, there was no obvious connection between her and Bryan’s show — but it appears she’s a fan of the singer, since she was able to sing along with most of the lyrics of “Revival” during her time onstage.
The “Hawk Tuah” craze has been going on for less than a month, but in that time, Welch has taken social media by storm. Rolling Stone reports that merch sales surrounding her interview — including the catchphrase “spit on that thang” — have already raked in at least $65,000 in revenue.
Bryan’s Quittin’ Time Tour is scheduled to roll on through December. Past shows have included appearances from special guests like Bruce Springsteen and John Mayer.
