The country superstar played all the hits at the U.K. festival, including a rousing take on her 1999 radio staple

Shania Twain delivered a set heavy on hits when she made her debut at the U.K.’s Glastonbury Festival on Sunday, opening with “That Don’t Impress Me Much” and rolling through staples like “I’m Gonna Getcha Good!,” “Any Man of Mine,” and “Honey, I’m Home.” She saved the most euphoric singalong for last, closing her daytime slot with “Man! I Feel Like a Woman!”

“Let’s go, Glastonbury!” Twain shouted as the 1999 radio hit’s signature synth opening blared out. Dressed in a black miniskirt and boots, the singer performed the Come on Over single at Glastonbury’s Pyramid Stage in the so-called “legend’s slot,” an afternoon showtime that featured icons like Dolly Parton, Lionel Richie, and Kylie Minogue in the past. Video of Twain’s set captured the massive crowds, many of them dressed in Twain-themed attire or cowboy hats, extending to the fringes of Michael Eavis’s Worthy Farm.

Twain, who kicked off a new residency, Come on Over, at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas in May, recently made an addition to her band, recruiting Lindsay Ell as one of her main guitarists. Ell, who released a number of country albums as a solo artist, has become a highlight of Twain’s new lives shows and, at Glastonbury, she picked out a thrilling solo to “Man! I Feel Like a Woman!”, tossing about her dyed-purple locks.

With Glastonbury over (among its highlights this year was a guitar-playing cameo by Michael J. Fox during Coldplay’s headlining performance), Twain will remain in the U.K. for a string of shows. She’ll play London’s Hyde Park on July 7, three days after another country star — Morgan Wallen — headlines the outdoor space.
