NASHVILLE, Tenn. (March 20, 2026) — Award-winning producer, composer and artist Tommee Profitt releases “Blessed Assurance,” the fifth and final single from his upcoming cinematic project, THE RESURRECTION OF A KING, arriving next week. Featuring standout vocalist Mara Justine, the track offers a powerful final preview of the highly anticipated project.
Profitt first discovered Justine on social media and immediately recognized her as a future collaborator. Justine is known for competing on major television talent shows, including America’s Got Talent (Season 9), American Idol (Season 16), and The Voice (Season 24).
“I remember thinking, this girl is unreal,” he shares. “The moment I started reimagining ‘Blessed Assurance,’ I knew it had to be her. Curating the right voice is the most important part of these projects. As soon as this came together, I knew she was perfect. She walked in and just crushed it. She exceeded my expectations.”
The reimagined hymn also reflects the heart of the Easter story. The assurance comes from the Resurrection, which is the foundation of the entire message. While preserving the original’s message, Profitt subtly updated the chorus to connect with modern listeners, maintaining its timeless impact.
“Blessed Assurance” is one of Profitt’s personal favorites on the album and a defining moment within THE RESURRECTION OF A KING. The 19-song project features reimagined hymns including “The Old Rugged Cross,” “Jesus Paid It All,” “Amazing Grace,” and “Just As I Am,” with performances by Phil Wickham, CeCe Winans, CROWDER, Jenn Johnson, Jamie MacDonald, Ben Fuller, Jon Reddick, Jeremy Rosado and more.
