The Sun, “Fuoco dentro” Review

The Sun, “Fuoco dentro” Review

Italian Christian rock band The Sun has been making music for years, but it’s time they started getting more recognition outside of Italy. Fuoco dentro, which translates in English to Fire Inside, is The Sun’s latest album, releasing at the tail end of 2025. It’s a fun and emotional rock album that explores themes of faith and love, as well as the search for joy and meaning in life.

Fuoco dentro is immaculately produced arena-ready radio rock (think 2004 to 2010-era Sanctus Real for a quick comparison). This record is completely sung in Italian, with the vast majority of the lead vocals provided by frontman, Francesco Lorenzi. His deep yet dynamic voice is mesmerizing to listen to and fits perfectly with their signature style of rock. Acoustic and electric guitars are the home base for their sound, but they also have plenty of surprises up their sleeves, like featuring horns and a skank guitar riff on “La via dell’amore,” a gritty southern rock vibe on “Prigione tra le dita,” and a pop-punk sound on “A 12 anni.”

Album highlights include the stadium-ready “Corragio” and emotional ballad “DoLorean.” Don’t sleep on Fuoco dentro – there is something truly special here.
