Do you remember the last time you traveled through an airport?
Perhaps you had to check your luggage, then go through security, finally go through security, then find your gate, and wait.
Sometimes, it’s chaotic; sometimes, it’s smooth; sometimes, it’s a mix. However, there’s always at least a bit of stress involved.
Airports are a thing, whether you end up with an unexpected gate change, lost luggage, or unfriendly travelers. In fact, traveling in general is a thing. Whether by train, plane, or automobile.

As you know, there are plenty of studies that show how red is considered a color connected with attractiveness or confidence. It’s basically what’s been dubbed a power color.
According to the NY Post website, that often translates to preferential treatment.
There is a phenomenon dubbed the “Red Dress Effect,” which refers to the increased attractiveness men perceive when women wear red, although it appears to work for any red clothing on anyone, in terms of attention-getting and confidence.
In this case, when traveling, especially in airports, it’s a stimulating color that can give you an edge when going through security lines or catching the attention of flight attendants, albeit subliminally.
According to Airplane Tips, airline staff are more likely to treat passengers dressed in red with extra care and attention, subconsciously perceiving passengers in red as more important or of higher status.
Perhaps even additional perks, such as extra food or upgrades, could happen as long as you’re not a jerk. It may also be helpful when checking into a hotel, right?
The color red stands out and humans naturally respond to it, even inadvertently.
From a splash of red to an entire outfit, try wearing red and see what science-based positive things may happen if you’re not a jerk while traveling.
