Luke Bryan has charted more than 30 No. 1 songs at country radio across his career, and fans love them all — but there’s one Luke Bryan song that will never get played at Luke Bryan’s house.
During a recent chat with Taste of Country Nights, the country megastar dished on the song that can’t get played in his household, and it’s not because he doesn’t like it.
It’s “Fast,” the American Idol judge reveals.
“My 16 year-old, Bo, got really mad at me on the video of ‘Fast’ because on the video I had of him, he had a girlfriend, that I kinda didn’t get proper clearance — so he’s a little mad,” he recalls.
In the “Fast” music video, Bryan is seen sitting on a stool on stage, holding a guitar. Throughout the video, family photos scroll in and out of camera view. You’d have to do some pausing and restarting to find the exact photo he’s referring to, but to a teen, there’s nothing more important than your romantic relationships — and whether others can know when it’s official.
However, Bo’s dad is Luke Bryan, so you have to assume that his high school experience is a little higher-profile than most, anyway.
Check out the snippet that Bryan is speaking of below:
“I think all my No. 1s … they better be welcome around my house, or somebody’s going to have to go stay in the barn,” Bryan jokes.
