Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce Are Engaged

It’s a love story, baby just say yes. Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are engaged, as announced by the couple on Tuesday (Aug. 26)

The pop superstar and athlete shared the news via a joint Instagram post, sharing a photo of Kelce down on one knee as Swift lovingly cradles his face. “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” they jokingly wrote in the caption.

The post also features photos of the pair embracing in a romantic garden of flowers, as well as a snap showing off Swift’s gold engagement band with a massive diamond.

The news comes after about two years of dating, with Kelce first professing his crush on Swift during a 2023 episode of his and brother Jason Kelce’s New Heights podcast. At the time, he told fans about his disappointment that he’d been unable to slip the 14-time Grammy winner a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it at one of her Eras Tour shows in Kansas City that year.

Shortly after that episode was posted, Swift attended her first-ever Kansas City Chiefs game — and the rest was history. In the two years that followed, the musician would become a fixture at the tight end’s home games at Arrowhead Stadium — where she often shares a box suite with his parents, Donna and Ed — and he would attend several of her concerts before the Eras trek wrapped in December 2024.

These past few months have seen Swift and Travis grow even closer, with the former attending the latter’s Tight End University in June after spending time in Florida with him during the Chiefs’ training camp. In July, the Happy Gilmore 2 actor shared several adorable photos of himself and his now-fiancée spending time with friends and Swift’s brother, Austin.
