Shania Twain Opening New Bar in Nashville

Shania Twain Opening New Bar in Nashville

You can’t go to Nashville’s famed Broadway strip without bumping into a group of bachelorettes belting out Shania Twain classics, and soon, they’ll be able to bring their karaoke to the Canadian hitmaker’s new bar.

Per a report by the Nashville Business Journal, multiple sources say that Twain is working with the Nashville Underground restaurant and bar, owned by pop singer Gavin DeGraw and his brother Joey, to open her own venue. Nashville Underground has been a staple of the area since 2018 — it sits on the river end of the Broadway strip, near Acme Feed & Seed.

Details are scarce, and representatives for Twain hadn’t commented to NBJ at time of publishing, but anticipate a lot of pink and glimmer when the bar comes to fruition.

She’ll be in good company down there, too: Nashville’s growing list of celeb bars includes Luke Combs’ Hurricane, Blake Shelton’s Ole Red, Lainey Wilson’s Bell Bottoms Up Restaurant & Bar and dozens of others.

Twain is currently performing live in Las Vegas as part of her Shania Twain: Come on Over residency. The “That Don’t Impress Me Much” hitmaker — a country-pop crossover success since the ’90s — has sold more than 100 million records to date. She is one of the genre’s most recognizable acts.

19 Country Stars With Their Own Bars + Restaurants

Of all of the side hustles country artists could partake in, opening a bar or restaurant is the most fitting — and very common. After all, many of these stars got their start on a barstool, tip jar nearby, playing their music for anyone who would listen.

These places feel like home for many of these singers. Over the years, several artists have gotten into the bar or restaurant game, and for a select few, brands have turned into franchises with several locations and/or concepts — we’re looking at you, Jimmy Buffett!

Let’s take a look at the country star food and entertainment venues that have opened over the years.
