See Inside Country Stars’ Most Modern Mansions [Pics]

We’ve all seen the enormous, very expensive homes that some country stars live in, and they tend to skew toward a more traditional look, in keeping with the roots of the genre. But some country singers choose to own ultra-modern homes — and one of them is very surprising.

It’s not too shocking to see a younger country singer like Dan + Shay‘s Dan Smyers living in a modern-looking home, but we might not expect to see names like Elvis Presley, George Jones and Tammy Wynette on this particular list.

Even more surprising is Alan Jackson, whose taste in eye-popping real estate leans very heavily toward extremely traditional, formal architecture. But the iconic country singer, who’s known for his very vocal stance on “keeping it country,” also owns a remarkably modern home in the Nashville area that you’ll have to see to believe.

Two rockers who are very strong influences on country music also make the list, and so does a staunchly conservative country singer whose jaw-dropping modern home is practically famous in its own right.

Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman paid $3.5 million for an approximately 1600-square-foot, two-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom condo in the upper-crust Tribeca area of Manhattan in New York City in 2020. The luxury unit is located inside of the famous clock tower building in Tribeca, which developers acquired for $160 million in 2013. The building previously housed the New York Life Insurance Company, and the developers converted the 400,000-square-foot building into luxury condos in 2018.

Photos at the building’s website show a spectacular array of amenities available to residents, including rooftop gardens, an indoor pool, a fully-equipped fitness center, dining areas and more. According to reports, one of the features that attracted Urban and Kidman to the building is a “sky garage” that allows residents’ cars to be hydraulically lifted to their units, which lets the high-profile couple avoid the prying eyes of paparazzi.
