In the Flash Gordon radio episode where Dr. Zarkoff builds an invisible ray machine, Zarkoff develops a powerful device designed to shield Flash and their allies from enemy attacks. The invention gives them a temporary advantage against Ming the Merciless, who is plotting another conquest. However, the machine also creates new dangers, as Ming schemes to capture it for his own use, forcing Flash, Dale, and Zarkoff into another desperate battle.
