St. Louis, MO — February 4 … Reawaken Hymns announces the release of Exegesis, a new collection of original music, available February 4th on all major streaming platforms. The EP features six original songs, each written directly from Scripture and crafted to serve the Church through congregationally minded, theologically rich worship.
Exegesis was born from a desire to let Scripture itself shape both lyrics and musical form. Each song began not with an idea, but with a passage—allowing the text to guide the theology, language, and tone of the music.
“Everything we do in worship should be centered on Scripture—first and foremost, our songs. The songs on Exegesis are not word-for-word Scripture memory songs, but an interpretation of Scripture shaped directly into lyrical form. Every line on this album is drawn from the Scriptures,” says Nathan Drake of Reawaken Hymns.
Founded with a desire to connect the modern Church with the rich theological heritage of historic hymns, Reawaken Hymns has been releasing modern takes on classic hymns used in churches all over the world. Reawaken Hymns has reached worshippers across 170 countries, with over 40 million total streams across digital platforms.
That same commitment to Scripture, clarity, and congregational formation naturally led to the creation of original music shaped by the Word. Lyrically, each song on Exegesis expands a single scripture into powerful, memorable lyrics.Musically, Exegesis reflects Reawaken Hymns’ signature sound: catchy, singable melodies over anthemic modern worship.
Exegesis is available digitally on Spotify, Apple Music, and all major streaming platforms. Worship resources are available at www.reawakenhymns.com
