Post Malone performed “I Had Some Help” at CMA Fest in Nashville on Thursday (June 6). Then, he got some help from Blake Shelton on a brand-new song.
Shelton joined for “Pour Me a Drink,” a new duet. He becomes the latest in a long line of country stars that have paired with Post Malone (Brad Paisley, Luke Combs, Morgan Wallen, Reba McEntire at the ACMs).
- Post Malone’s two-song set was the second-to-last set at Nissan Stadium.
- Lynyrd Skynyrd followed with eight songs, including “Free Bird” as the time passed midnight.
- Highlights from CMA Fest will air on ABC on June 25.

After performing at Nissan, both Shelton and Post Malone went to Spotify House at Ole Red for more music that lasted well into the early hours. The Tennessean shares that he covered George Strait and Vince Gill and once again teamed with Shelton, whose wife Gwen Stefani was nearby.
Craig Morgan opened Day 1 at Nissan Stadium with five hit songs and “Soldier,” a cover of a Gavin DeGraw song he featured on his God, Family, Country (Deluxe Edition) album from 2022.
A meaty, hit-filled set from Jordan Davis (“Tucson Too Late,” “Next Thing You Know,” “Buy Dirt”) followed with CMA Fest co-host Ashley McBryde on deck. She performed eight songs and had a surprise of her own.
Gretchen Wilson came out to sing “Redneck Woman” with McBryde. The song debuted 20 years ago, and fans seemed to still remember every word. After Shaboozey performed “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” the night peaked with Thomas Rhett‘s nine-song concert.
“Die a Happy Man” closed his performance, but he also used the stage to introduce new music. “Gone Country” is a new song, and it was soon followed by “Beautiful as You,” his current single.
Rhett shared his next album — About a Woman, due Aug. 23 — was inspired by wife Lauren, who was in the crowd hearing the pop-friendly new radio hit live for the very first time.
Kelsea Ballerini, Luke Bryan and Cody Johnson are among the artists ready for night No. 2 of the four-night concert series at Nissan Stadium.
