Post Malone debuted a deeply personal song about his young daughter during an intimate performance in Nashville on Tuesday (July 16).

He was at Music City’s Marathon Music Works, a collaboration with Bud Light, performing some of his songs off his highly anticipated country album, F-1 Trillion.

Throughout the performance he debuted two unreleased songs from the album: a collaboration with Hardy called “Would You Hide My Gun” and the touching song “Yours” about his baby girl.

Before he began to sing, Malone shared that this song “Yours” was about his two-year-old daughter getting married one day.

“When I walk her down that aisle and do what daddies have to do / And she might be wearing white, but her first dress it was pink / She might be your better half, yeah but she’s my everything,” Malone sings.

It was a more deep, slower cut — fans erupted in applause after.

“We both love her forever, but I loved her long before / And one day I know I’ll give her away / Buddy, that doesn’t mean she’s yours,” the lyrics continue.

While Post Malone is one of the biggest and most recognizable superstars in the world, he still manages to protect his family’s privacy. He’s engaged to his daughter’s mother, but little is known about his fiancé.

Post has gushed about his daughter in interviews, but he doesn’t post her on social media and has never shared photos of her publicly. Therefore, it leaves the singer’s family a bit of a mystery.

Malone’s fiancé keeps out of the limelight, but fans have managed to uncover that her name is apparently Jamie.

During an interview with Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast in 2023, Post shared a bit more on how he proposed.

“It was in [Las] Vegas,” he shares. “We’re not married — it was just a proposal. I had lost a significant amount of money at the table. We go upstairs and I’m off my rocker hammered and I was like, ‘Hey, you wanna marry me?’ I got a ring and all this stuff. And she said ‘no.’ She’s like, ‘Ask me tomorrow’ and I was like, ‘Alright.’ And then I did and I was sober and it was nice.”

The singer gushed about his love with the podcast host, saying he could tell she had a big heart.

“I’ve always wanted kids and a big family,” he said. “And I could tell she was going to be a really good mama. And she’s like, No. 1 mom in the f—ing universe.”

“It’s really tough not being able to see her, but she’s coming out more often [on tour] now,” he tells Cooper regarding his daughter. “I’m just happy to see her. But it is heartbreaking having to leave and not be able to be with her all the time.”
