Nashville Singer-Songwriter Terri Lynn Kathey Has Gone Missing

Friends and family are asking for prayers after Nashville-based singer-songwriter Terri Lynn Kathey went missing over the weekend.

The gospel and blues singer — who has also performed under the name Terri Lynn Blues — and her husband, Nashville-based drummer Kevin Kathey, own a courier service. According to family friend Kerry Pharr, Kathey left home at about 4:30AM on Sunday morning (June 16) to go pick up a package at Music Valley Drive near Opryland Hotel in Nashville.

She used her debit card at Hardee’s on Elm Hill Pike nearby at around 6:30AM, Pharr tells Taste of Country. The package was bound for Chattanooga, but Kathey never made it.

Police got involved after her concerned husband reported her missing, and they found that her phone last pinged a tower on Monteagle Mountain in Tennessee. There has been no further phone or card activity from Kathey since.

Kevin Kathey has driven all over Monteagle Mountain searching for his missing wife in the days since she disappeared, but has turned up no trace. In a post to Facebook on Monday (June 17), Pharr said Kathey had slept just two hours in the last several days.

“Please pray!” he urges in the post, also encouraging people to call Nashville police or himself if they have any information.

The couple are deeply embedded in the Nashville music community. In addition to Terri Lynn’s singing career, Kevin Kathey is a well-known drummer who has played with Charlie Louvin, Tommy Overstreet, Emmylou Harris, Joey + Rory and more, according to LinkedIn, He also owns Next Exit Productions, which produces music and voiceover sessions.

A number of friends and colleagues in the Nashville music community have shared Pharr’s original link, asking for further prayers and information.
