NASCAR Driver Flying Personal Helicopter for Hurricane Help

NASCAR Driver Flying Personal Helicopter for Hurricane Help

One former NASCAR driver has taken to the air to help people in need.

Greg Biffle has been actively involved in the recovery efforts following Hurricane Helene, using his helicopter to deliver vital supplies to isolated communities in North Carolina.

The storm caused severe flooding and landslides in multiple states, particularly in mountainous areas, washing away roads and leaving many people stranded. Biffle has been flying his helicopter to reach areas that are otherwise inaccessible by road.

In his rescue efforts, the NASCAR driver has shared several moments on social media, including a remarkable instance where a family used a mirror to reflect sunlight and catch his attention from more than a mile away.

Despite challenging conditions that required multiple attempts to land, he successfully delivered crucial items such as food, medical supplies and gasoline to people in need. Also among his deliveries: EpiPens, insulin, baby formula and even a chainsaw to help residents clear fallen debris.

Biffle’s dedication has garnered widespread praise, with many fans expressing their gratitude for his efforts during this crisis.

He’s not only NASCAR figure involved in relief work, either: Other racing teams, including Joe Gibbs Racing and Hendrick Motorsports, have also contributed helicopters, while Michael Jordan’s 23XI Racing has made a significant monetary donation to support relief efforts.

Country music has stepped up, too, with artists like Eric Church donating royalties from his latest single to the people of North Carolina, and Morgan Wallen giving $500K to relief efforts.

Old-School NASCAR Car Logos That Are Still Cool Today

It’s pretty common for NASCAR rides to switch designs week to week, but back in the ’90s, when the cars had to be actually painted versus wrapped like today, rides stuck with designs for weeks at a time.

Some of these paint jobs never would see the light of day in today’s world. Let’s run down some some classic NASCAR sponsor paint jobs as well as some forgotten ones.
