Miranda Lambert and Brendan McLoughlin turned the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards into a dressy date night on Thursday night (Sept. 26).

The couple both sparkled in their own way as they walked the red carpet before the awards show — and not just because of McLoughlin’s megawatt smile. Even though he rocked a dressed-down, buttoned black shirt, he included a gleaming pair of shoes and a sparkling silver watch to add a pop to his look.

Of course, Lambert was the main attraction of the night, since she’s being awarded the Country Icon Award during Thursday night’s broadcast. The “Wranglers” star dressed the part, wearing a glittering gown with a plunging neckline, and adding a statement turquoise necklace for an extra layer of drama.

Lambert, who released her Postcards From Texas album earlier this month, is receiving the Country Icon Award in recognition of her longstanding musical authenticity and dominance in the country music industry.

The singer’s fellow Texan, and her only collaborator on her Postcards From Texas album, Parker McCollum will tribute her as part of the award. She’s the second person to receive this award. During the People’s Choice Country Awards’ inaugural broadcast in 2023, Toby Keith received the honor.
