Luke Bryan has a new nickname for Carrie Underwood, and it’s really pretty sweet.

Bryan appeared on CMT, where he spoke about his American Idol co-star and deemed her the “country music jukebox.”

Bryan explained why he refers to Underwood that way, and we learned a new fact about Underwood, another superpower that she has.

Bryan said, “Carrie and I can sit there and she’s like…I kinda pride myself on being a jukebox, but she is literally a country music jukebox. So when I start singing something, she jumps right in, no matter if it’s from the ’70s, ’80s, ’90s, present day — she’s literally like a jukebox.”

Underwood, as you might already know, is an avid baker, gardener and farm keeper.

Of course, you can add fantastic mom, wife, singer and American Idol judge to that long list of talents that the Grammy Award-winning singer has on her resume.

How does Underwood and Bryan’s fellow judge, Lionel Richie, feel about having to sit around and hear these two karaoke old country songs all day?

Bryan said, “We’re having fun singing on the set, and Lionel just kinda looks at us like we’re crazy.”

In filming American Idol, there is a lot of downtime for the judges as the contestants get shuffled in and out and interviews are taking place left and right.

You have to imagine there is so much footage of Bryan and Underwood singing karaoke on the cutting room floor, that hopefully will see the light of day during a blooper episode or reel on social media.

Underwood has already been tugging at the heartstrings on American Idol as she settles in as the newest judge.
