Lainey Wilson lived out yet another big dream as she opened for The Rolling Stones on their Hackney Diamonds North American Tour. The country singer not only revved up the crowd at Chicago’s Solder Field on June 30, she was also invited on stage to sing “Dead Flowers” with the legendary band.
In the video shared below, lead singer Mick Jagger thanks Wilson for her opening set and then calls her out to the stage asking her what song they should sing. The crowd roars when she suggests “Dead Flowers.” Jagger then grabs his guitar and a cowboy hat as the band launches into the track.
Which Country Artists Are Opening for The Rolling Stones?
The Rolling Stones are currently on an extensive 2024 tour and they have committed to taking along a handful of country artists to serve as their opening acts. In addition to Wilson, The War and Treaty and Tyler Childers were tapped to accompany the Rock and Roll Hall of Famers. Childers opened their show in Orlando On June 3, while The War and Treaty will warm up the crowd on July 10 in Los Angeles.
