In late July, Kutless announced that their guitarist, James Mead, suffered a stroke. Mead posted an update on Kutless’s Instagram page.

“I want to take a moment to thank each and every one of you who has supported me and my family since my stroke on July 26th. Your generosity, kindness, and encouragement have meant the world to us – we truly wouldn’t be where we are without you.”

Mead continued: “I’m grateful to share that I’m making steady progress during my recovery. I’m walking better, and I’ve been focusing on new exercises that challenge my coordination and balance. Every day is a step forward in rebuilding endurance and promoting neuroplasticity, and my doctors and physical therapists are very encouraged by how far I’ve come.

We still have a long road ahead to full recovery, but thanks to your support, we’re not walking it alone. On behalf of Lindsay, Jacob, and myself…thank you.”

Mead has been sharing his recovery journey on his Instagram page. In a video posted on August 27th, he was able to take a walk a short distance from his house. We’re hoping he continues to make a quick recovery and can take the stage soon. Please join us in continuing to pray for him.
