Kelsea Ballerini and Chase Stokes have quietly gone their separate ways again — just weeks after confirming they had reunited.
The couple recently ended their relationship for the third time, according to Us Weekly.
A source tells the outlet that the split happened “just the other day,” adding that Ballerini, 32, is “taking it better” than she did during the previous breakups.
While the insider notes that Stokes, 33, “still isn’t ready to give up,” Ballerini appears to be ready to move on for good.

Fans also picked up on subtle signs online. On Friday (Feb. 6), the “Miss Me More” singer appeared to unfollow the Outer Banks actor on Instagram, though Stokes still seems to be following her.
The news comes shortly after the pair reconciled at the beginning of the new year, giving their relationship another try after previously calling it quits.
Their Love Story
Ballerini and Stokes were first linked in January 2023 after being spotted together at the College Football Playoff National Championship in Los Angeles.
The relationship famously began when Ballerini slid into Stokes’ DMs — a rom-com-worthy moment that quickly turned into something real.
It was also Ballerini’s first public relationship since her 2022 divorce from fellow country artist Morgan Evans, and she spoke openly about how meaningful the connection was at the time.

“He’s the most emotionally intelligent man I’ve ever met,” she said during a late-2023 appearance on Call Her Daddy. “I keep telling him he’s a man written by a woman.”
A Second — and Third — Try
The couple first split in September 2025 before quietly reconnecting later in the year. Sightings together — including a trip to Scotland — fueled speculation that they were giving their relationship another chance.
At the time, a source said the two “really picked up where they left off” and were hopeful things would be different.
For now, it appears Ballerini is choosing to move forward on her own, bringing a chapter that’s been both meaningful — and complicated — to a close.
Kelsea Balerini opened up her divorce diary in February 2023 with her Rolling Up the Welcome Mat EP, a project that follows the stages of a breakup — from grief and loneliness to anger to acceptance — in chronological order. Here are eight of the most revealing lyrics from the project.
