Kane Brown is making his return to primetime TV with a major role in the highly anticipated new series 9-1-1: Nashville.
According to Variety, the country and R&B crossover artist will prove heroic in a key storyline during the debut episode of the Music City-set spinoff.
9-1-1: Nashville expands Ryan Murphy’s successful 9-1-1 universe, offering a high-octane look at first responders and their families in Nashville, one of America’s most dynamic and diverse cities.
Brown’s appearance will reportedly tie his real-life music career to his character’s role, with a scene set during a concert performance in Nashville.
The series stars a talented ensemble cast, including country favorites like Chris O’Donnell, Jessica Capshaw, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, LeAnn Rimes, Hailey Kilgore, Michael Provost, Juani Feliz, and Hunter McVey.
Brown’s appearance in the premiere marks his return to TV after making his acting debut in 2023 on CBS’s Fire Country.
9-1-1: Nashville debuts Thursday, Oct. 9, at 9 p.m. on ABC.

During a recent appearance on the Impaulsive Podcast, Brown was candid about his experiences with racism as a biracial artist in a genre that has historically been predominantly white.

His answer was straightforward: “Oh, yeah.” Brown, whose mother is white and father is African-American and part Cherokee, has encountered obstacles due to his race.
He recalled a specific incident where a prominent writer refused to collaborate with him due to the color of his skin.
“I remember — I ain’t gonna say a name because I don’t want to throw him under the bus — but there was one writer that said he wouldn’t write with me because I’m black,” Brown shared. “I confronted them and everything, and they apologized to me at the bar.”

This wasn’t an isolated case. “There’s another big writer who had like 30 No. 1s that said the same thing,” the country star continued.
“That same writer came calling when I started to get more popular, realizing the mistake he’d made. He apologized whenever we blew up and was trying to write with me, and I said no,” he added.
Despite these hurdles, Brown’s success story is one of perseverance.
As he continues to break down barriers in both music and television, the “Good as You” singer remains an inspiration for fans, proving that talent and determination can overcome any obstacle.
