Jelly Roll opened up his much-anticipated Beautifully Broken Tour in Salt Lake City, Utah, on Tuesday night (Aug. 27), and he made time to get to know the area ahead of his concert.
While he was out and about, exploring the sights, the “Save Me” singer came across a couple of kids who had set up a lemonade stand in their neighborhood.
While some people would drive on by — especially recognizable celebrities — Jelly Roll pulled over to talk to the kids and buy some lemonade.
Wendy Gardunio, the mother of one of the children, took to social media to detail the encounter they had with the country music star.
If you didn’t love Jelly Roll already, this will do it:
“So today was an interesting day, my kid and her cousins wanted to do a lemonade stand. They had a famous singer come and buy some lemonade,” mom explains.
“Who would have thought that we would run into Jelly Roll in West Valley. And for him to be so generous with giving them almost $700.”
It seems Gardunio may not have been super familiar with Jelly before he stopped by, but she won’t soon forget him after he left with his lemonade and $700 lighter after giving his cash to the kids.
Fans noticed that he’s looking lighter physically, too — Mr. Roll has been very vocal about his journey to lose weight — with one person commenting: “Wow, what a transformation indeed.”
Next up, Jelly Roll has shows in Nampa, Idaho (Aug. 28) and Spokane, Wash. (Aug. 30). It’s not clear if he plans to do good deeds all throughout his Beautifully Broken Tour, but he’s become well-known for his charitable heart.
