Jelly Roll Announces New ‘Beautifully Broken’ Album

Jelly Roll just shared new details of his next album, and it turns out he’s being teasing us for months. The “I Am Not Okay” singer had used the art and album’s name in promotional material for his live show.

One can’t help but wonder if more Taylor Swift-esque Easter eggs will show up soon.

“Man, there’s a lot of storytelling on this album,” he told Taste of Country earlier this year. “I wrote probably a hundred and something songs last year — maybe 150 — trying to figure this album out.”

Even though Jelly Roll has released many albums throughout his career, this is his second on a major record label, and for that reason he’s feeling quite a bit of pressure. Fortunately, fans have provided.

“I’ve never been so inspired though. I was getting so many stories. People were pouring into me,” he told Evan Paul and Taste of Country Nights. “I’m at gas stations and red carpets, and I’m hearing life stories from people — really inspiring stories. I never wrote more.”

All net profits from every pre-order of Beautifully Broken will to benefit organizations helping individuals facing challenges with mental health and addiction.

The album’s cover art features an almost porcelain-white skull with huge cracks and tattoos through the left side. Those are filled with gold running from the crown. It almost appears to have tattoos just like Jelly Roll’s above the eye.

A version of this image has been the backdrop for some of his live shows in 2024. On the album, the skull is cast in front of a shattered marble background.
