Kutless announced on Instagram that their long-time guitarist James Mead recently suffered a stroke. This news comes just a few short weeks after the release of their latest project, The Seventh Seal. Mead joined the band in 2001 just before the band signed with BEC records and is one of two remaining members from that original BEC roster.

 

The post reads: “Hey everyone. This post is a tough one to send out, but so many of you have supported us for so many years and today we are asking for your help. Our guitarist James has suffered a stroke and is currently in the hospital. He has a long road ahead of him and we are praying for a miraculous recovery.”

 

The band is asking for help by joining them in prayer for James, his wife Lindsay, and his son Jacob, and for those who are able to support their family financially assist with medical bills.
