Is This Brandon Blackstock’s Final Photo?

Despite his battle with cancer, Brandon Blackstock looked quite happy spending time with his family just weeks before his death on Thursday (Aug. 7).

In a post shared by his daughter Savannah Lee on Facebook, one photo show Blackstock posing with his daughter, presumably at his property in Montana.

His arm is slung around her shoulders as he pulls her in tight.

Blackstock is all smiles in the photo.

Other photos show Savannah’s 3-year-old son, Lake, and her husband enjoying time on the mountain property and, more specifically, with the outdoor toys that are kept there. In one snap, Lake sits proudly on his dad’s lap atop a tractor, and in another, he commands the steering wheel of a 4X4.

“Back home to the mountains & my daddy,” she writes in the caption.

How Did Brandon Blackstock Die?

A statement from the family says Blackstock had been battling cancer for three years. It also notes that he was surrounded by his family when he passed.

“Brandon bravely battled cancer for more than three years,” the statement reads. “He passed away peacefully and was surrounded by family. We thank you for your thoughts and prayers and ask everyone to respect the family’s privacy during this very difficult time.”

Who Are Brandon Blackstock’s Children?

Blackstock fathered four children. Savannah and her brother Seth are from his relationship with Melissa Ashworth. The two were married from 2001-2012.

He also has two children with Kelly Clarkson; River and Remington. He and Clarkson’s marriage lasted from 2013-2022.

The music manager was also a grandfather to Lee’s son, Lake, with another one on the way. Savannah, 23, revealed she is expecting her second child just weeks before her father passed away.

Prior to her July post, Lee shared a photo of her dad on Father’s Day.
