Hulk Hogan Rescues Teen From Car Crash Using Ballpoint Pen

Hulk Hogan rescued a teenage girl from a crashed car using a ballpoint pen.

The former wrestler was hailed a hero after he rushed over to help a 17-year-old girl who was stuck in an overturned car on a road in Tampa, Fla., on Sunday evening (Jan. 14) and now he’s revealed he used a pen in his pocket and some quick-thinking to pop the airbag which was trapping her in the wreck.

In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Hogan explained: “The crazy part about the teenager that flipped her car was that without a knife to puncture the airbags to get her out, [an] Indian Rocks Christian ballpoint pen came in really handy to [pop] the bags, thank you God, all is well even now. Amen…”

A statement from Tampa Police Department later revealed those involved in the crash escaped with just minor injuries.

Hogan’s wife Sky Daily later praised her husband’s heroic actions in a post on Facebook, writing: “By all appearances, [the driver] was unscathed, just really rattled, which is an absolute miracle!”

Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea, recently got baptized and the pen he used to free the trapped teen was from the Indian Rocks Baptist Church in Largo, Fla., where he underwent the ceremony alongside his wife Sky last month.

The former sports star posted a video and pictures of the occasion on his Instagram page and wrote: “Total surrender and dedication to Jesus is the greatest day of my life. No worries, no hate, no judgment … only love!” Another picture posted on the page showed the couple taking part in a prayer after emerging from the pool.

The ceremony took place at the same church where Hulk and Sky tied the knot in front of a small group of family members back in September two months after the WWE legend proposed to the yoga instructor.
