Most Americans have at some point in their lives been to a Toys “R” Us location, somewhere in the U.S.
Just the thought of pulling up with your parents and seeing the colorful outside, and then stepping foot into that child’s paradise can give you goosebumps.
It was a sad day when Toys “R” Us locations all-across America closed down, people felt their childhoods getting swept right out from under them.
Holy Nostalgia! Toys “R” Us Locations are popping up everywhere.
Since being purchased in 2021, by WHP Global, Toys “R” Us locations have started to pop-up inside other giant retailers. It started when Toys “R” Us first signed a deal with Macy’s to have their “shop-in-shops” at every single Macy’s location in America.
They have now announced that they have signed a license agreement with the Navy Exchange Service Command to open Toys “R” Us “shop-in-shops” in Navy Exchange retail stores.
According to Chainstorage.com, the shops will launch this fall, starting at the Oceana location in Virginia Beach, Va. That will be followed by a second location at the NEX in Jacksonville, Fla. Even more locations are set to be launched in 2025 as well.
Navy Exchange stores offer a unique experience that members of The Navy and their family members can shop at and get at discounted prices.
Stanley Silverstein, chief commercial officer at WHP Global, says, “We are thrilled to team up with NEXCOM to bring the joy and excitement of Toys “R” Us to Navy families around the globe. This collaboration allows us to extend our reach and provide a unique shopping experience that caters specifically to the needs of those who serve our country.”
If you have always dreamed of taking your own kids to a Toys “R” Us store to experience the feelings that you did, back in the day, you now have that opportunity.
