Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have a new family member after Gwen nursed a stray kitten back to health.

The pop singer shared with fans on social media how their cat, Corn, came to be a part of their lives.

“This is Corn Shelton,” she writes in the caption of a post on Instagram.

“The day he showed up to our home, he was hardly alive + so sick, but with a lot of love + nurturing, he became a healthy kitten,” Stefani explains.

The video montage opens with a clip of Corn when the couple first found him — he did not look good. Still, he’s laying in Stefani’s lap in the clip as she wipes him off. HIs eyes are milky, his coloring is off … she knew he needed her love.

Now, Corn is healthy as can be.

“We’re so grateful that he’s a part of our family,” the proud cat mama adds.

Gwen Stefani: Country Gal

Despite growing up in Anaheim, Calif. — a suburb of Los Angeles — and being a city girl for most of her life, Stefani has adjusted nicely to life in Oklahoma with her country-singing hubby, Shelton. She’ll be the first to admit that she never expected to fall in love with his home state.

“Going to Oklahoma was just like being introduced to a whole world I didn’t know about,” Stefani told People in a 2023 interview. “I’m not really a dirt person or a bug person. I don’t like that much humidity, all that. But you sort of get over it all because it’s so beautiful there … I guess it’s just, nature and God is all right there.”

“To be able to escape to Oklahoma, a place that I don’t think I would ever have gone to,” she noted. “When I met Blake, it was like — that’s when I felt home.”

Stefani and Shelton met on the set of The Voice in 2014. They’ve been married since 2021.
