It didn’t take long for J.J. Watt to be reduced to a puddle of tears after listening to Luke Combs‘ dad era album, Fathers & Sons. The former NFL standout and father shared his thoughts about the project on social media saying it hit him right in the feels.

“Put on Luke’s new album Fathers & Sons during workout today,” he writes on social media. “Not even halfway thru the warmup, full blown waterworks.”

“Wishing my grandpa got to meet Koa, trying to savor every moment, thinking about my dad…” he continues. “Hits you straight in the heart.”

“Thanks for making me cry @lukecombs.”

Watt wasn’t the only one in his feelings while listening to Combs’ latest project. Fans swarmed the comments to share similar experiences.

“It’s fantastic. I listened to it at the gym and someone started cutting onions right beside me,” one writes.

“My first listen through I was expecting the next song to be different and it just kept going,” another shares with a crying emoji.

“Listened for the first time after I put the kids to bed on Saturday. Had a cigar on the porch and straight waterworks thinking about quickly they’ll grow,” a comment reads. “Very humbling realization that one day I won’t be the most exciting thing in their lives.”
