Summertime is music festival time, and the 2024 CMA Fest is right around the corner. Country music fans from all over the world will converge on Nashville for four days of non-stop country music.
What Is CMA Fest?
CMA Fest is the Ultimate Country Music Fan Experience. What started in 1972 as a simple lineup performing in front of 5,000 guests at Nashville’s Municipal Auditorium has grown into a four-day takeover of all of Music City. CMA Fest hosts tens of thousands of fans from all 50 states and 40 countries. It’s the longest-running country music festival in the world.
The event also raises money for the CMA Foundation. Since 2006, a portion of proceeds has been donated in an effort to further musical education initiatives for students across the nation in kindergarten through 12th grade.
Where Is CMA Fest?
CMA Fest is known for transforming downtown Nashville into festival grounds. Fans will be able to see their favorite artists perform at various spaces around the city as giant stages are erected to host performances all day every day. Shows can be seen in Bridgestone Plaza, the Walk of Fame, along the banks of the Cumberland River and more. Each night Nissan Stadium is lit up as some of country music’s biggest names put on a show.
When Is CMA Fest 2024?
This year’s CMA Fest is set for Thursday, June 6 through Sunday, June 9.
Who Is Playing CMA Fest 2024?
CMA Fest is known for hosting hundreds of acts. In 2022, more than 250 artists performed on nine different stages. With shows happening all day across the city, fans are sure to see their favorites perform and discover new favorites along the way.
This year’s Nissan Stadium shows include performances from Luke Bryan, Cody Johnson, Thomas Rhett, Jelly Roll, Hardy, Keith Urban, Bailey Zimmerman, Lainey Wilson and several others. A comprehensive list of every artist performing at CMA Fest 2024 can be found at CMAFest.com.
Where Can I Get Tickets to CMA Fest?
While many of the stages at CMA Fest are free and operate on a first come, first served basis, fans will need tickets for a few events. All shows at Nissan Stadium and Ascend Amphitheater require a pass or a ticket for admission. Fans have the option of purchasing a four-night Nissan Stadium pass or a single night ticket. In addition, fans will need a Fan Fair X ticket or a Stadium Pass to attend performances at the CMA Close Up Stage and the CMA Spotlight Stage inside the Music City Center.
CMA Fest is also offering fitness classes with some celebrity guests like MacKenzie Porter, Alana Springsteen, Tyler Cameron and more. A ticket is required to attend.
Which Stages Have Free Admission at CMA Fest?
Fans can enjoy several performances at various stage across Nashville for free. All show taking place at the Chevy Riverfront Stage, the Dr. Pepper Amp Stage, the Chevy Vibes Stage, the Good Molecules Reverb Stage and the Hard Rock Stage are free and open to the public.
Events on Broadway and Fan Alley are also free to attend.
What Should I Wear to CMA Fest?
Fans should wear comfortable shoes and attire. Expect to walk a lot each day and stand for extended periods of time. Some stages feature grass for fans to sit on, but it’s more likely you’ll be on your feet for most of the day as chairs are not permitted. Hats and sunglasses are recommended, as is sunscreen.
