Eric Church, Lainey Wilson to Headline Field and Stream Music Festival

After purchasing the outdoor brand with Morgan Wallen earlier this year, Church will play the inaugural fest in Winnsboro, South Carolina

At the start of the year, Eric Church announced that he and Morgan Wallen had teamed up to purchase Field & Stream, the long-running outdoors magazine and brand. He also teased that a Field & Stream branded music festival was in the cards. On Monday, the fest announced its first two headliners: Church and Lainey Wilson.

The inaugural Field & Stream Music Festival is set for Oct. 4th through 6th in Winnsboro, South Carolina— a small town 30 minutes north of Columbia and south of Charlotte, North Carolina. Along with the music (additional artists will be announced in the run-up to the festival), the three-day event will feature a number of add-on outdoor experiences, including clay shooting, fishing charters, mountain biking, and archery.

When Church purchased Field & Stream, he vowed to keep the physical print magazine a component of the title’s legacy. “That was something that mattered to me,” he told Rolling Stone recently. “When everybody else is running from the fire, going, ‘Well, we can’t do that, the dollars don’t make sense.’ And they don’t; but that doesn’t mean you don’t do it.”

Church also said he wrote a story for the first issue about some acreage he bought outside of Nashville a few years ago. “It’s an outdoors-based piece and is actually about when we bought the property, just west of town,” he said. “It was my first iteration of seeing that property; [my wife] and her dad are the ones that found it. And that was the story of that day, which is a wild story.”

Tickets for the inaugural Field & Stream Music Festival are on sale now, along with camping packages. Attendees can camp at the festival on site, bring their own RV, or rent a cabin. There are also off-site accommodations at nearby campgrounds and at motels in the surrounding towns.

Church is also set to open his new Nashville bar, Chief’s, next month. He’ll play a string of intimate shows at the live venue between April and June.
