Eric Church will take his upcoming album Evangeline vs. The Machine on the road this fall with a North American jaunt dubbed the “Free the Machine” Tour.
Elle King, Marcus King Band, or Charles Wesley Godwin will serve as the supporting act on the 22-date arena trek, which kicks off Sept. 12 in Pittsburgh and concludes Nov. 15 at Inglewood, California’s Intuit Dome.
“From front to back, these shows will be different than anything you’ve ever seen or heard from us before,” Church told fans. “I cannot wait to see you on the road for this tour.”
Tickets to most shows will go on sale to the general public beginning next Friday, May 9, at 10 a.m. local time. In addition to the Free the Machine Tour, Church has also booked a handful of summer dates, including a two-night stand at Nashville’s Pinnacle to celebrate the arrival of Evangeline vs. The Machine in May, plus three gigs (each with different setlists) at Colorado’s Red Rocks.
Church will release Evangeline vs. The Machine this Friday, May 2. Church previously previewed the curiously titled LP in March with the single “Hands of Time.” The album also boasts a cover of Tom Waits’ Rain Dogs classic “Clap Hands.”
