Randy Michaels was interested in becoming a radio announcer since he was 8 years old! He grew up listening to The Johnny Rabbit show on KXOK in St. Louis, Missouri. He participated in radio contests and called every radio station in St. Louis and asked if he could be on the air every day after school. He even got caught one day by his mother calling WLS. In Chicago! He started radio during college doing a show once a week for KCLC in St. Charles, Missouri at Lindenwood University. He also operated the board when he could to gain experience. Randy has worked many formats in various markets including KNUZ in Houston, Texas which was an oldies format and KEBC in Oklahoma City which was country. He also has programming experience where he started at KEGS in Emporia, Kansas and WXKX in Parkersburg, West Virginia. Randy’s passion for radio will always continue!
