Carson has worked on and off in radio since 1977, when he got his first on air job at WIOF, W-104 Country in Connecticut at age 19. He was full time news director at WQQW AM throughout the 1980s and returned to playing country music as a weekender on WWYZ Hartford during the late 1990s. He holds a journalism degree from the University of Connecticut and is also a blogger and writer.
