Darryl Worley’s Wife Undergoes Surgery After Side-By-Side Crash

Darryl Worley‘s wife Kimberly is undergoing surgery on Tuesday (Aug. 20) after being involved in a side-by-side crash earlier in the week.

The “Have You Forgotten” singer brought fans up to speed on her injuries and the team of medical professionals treating her in a lengthy post on social media.

  • Worley and Kimberly Perkins married in 2007.
  • He learned about the accident after returning from a multi-day trip to Canada.
  • After sharing details of the accident and his wife’s prognosis, Worley provides a testimonial to the power of God.

A side-by-side is a 4-wheel off road vehicle, and while Worley is light on details about what caused the accident, a photo shows it on its side at the bottom of an incline. Two more pictures are x-rays that appear to show a clean break of the arm.

“Kimberly’s arm was messed up pretty bad and I’m writing this while she’s still under the knife,” he says. “My wife gets a little anxious in these situations and I don’t always know how to handle it. She doesn’t do so well with pain meds but we work together well and get things done.”

The break and needed medical care continue an eventful year for the Worleys.

In January, a barn on his property caught fire and burned to the ground. He and his wife actually filmed it burning and narrated their sadness. Later, a statement read:

“We are asking that you be in prayer for Darryl, [Kimberly] and [the singer’s daughter] Savannah today as their barn caught on fire this morning. They are dealing with the loss of property and more importantly the loss of life-long memories!”

This accident happened during an annual ATV ride with friends and family. In an earlier post, Worley shared that she was riding with her brother.

“Be blessed all of you and please continue to pray for my sweet Kimberly,” he pleads toward the end of his second comment. Earlier, he shared that his wife’s surgery was being done by renowned surgeon Dr. William T. Obremskey.
