Kane Brown‘s wife Katelyn is a star in her own right. In 2022, the couple duetted on “Thank God” — a country radio No. 1 hit that earned them major awards, television appearances and multiple high-profile on-stage duets.
After that song, Brown said he’s not done collaborating with his wife, and a new photo she shared to Instagram suggests that music might be coming sooner rather than later.
In the snapshot, Katelyn is wearing headphones, sitting at a microphone in a recording studio. She’s also got the couple’s infant son Krewe on her lap.
Krewe, who was born in June, is the their third child: Brown and Katelyn are already parents to daughters Kingsley and Kodi.
In the caption, Katelyn hints that all three of her kids are central to the project she’s working on. “Working on something for my babies,” she writes.
It’s unclear if Brown will be featured in the new music, or if something solo is in the works.
Katelyn’s singing talents date back quite a while: They actually predate her relationship with her country star husband.
Before she and Brown got together, Katelyn was a budding R&B artist. She back-burnered her musical interests in order to focus on Brown’s career, and on raising her children, but fans were clamoring for a duet long before “Thank God” arrived.
The couple have also thought pursuing other joint career efforts, including acting. Brown — who made his screen debut in the CBS series Fire Country last spring — said he’d be interested in sharing a script with his wife.
“If we, you know, had the opportunity to be [onscreen together], cool,” he said at the time. “I’d be curious to see her acting.”
