Jelly Roll is once again set to be a part of a WWE Universe event.
Two of the singer’s songs will be the theme songs for this year’s WWE SummerSlam, according to a social media announcement from Paul Michael Levesque, aka Triple H — a retired pro wrestler and the WWE’s Chief Content Officer.
“Excited to have my friend Jelly Roll back,” Levesque wrote on X, adding that the two featured songs from Jelly will be “Dead End Road” — off the Twisters movie soundtrack — and “Liar.”
“Liar” is a fresh song from Jelly’s catalog, and it’s expected to feature on the track list of his next album. He performed the song at the 2024 ACM Awards, and fans also heard it when he debuted it at the Grand Ole Opry in April.
During that first performance, Jelly hedged the song by saying he wasn’t sure yet if he ever planned to officially release it — but between the subsequent awards show performance and its inclusion as a SummerSlam theme, it’s a likely bet that he’s planning on sharing it with the world after all.
But Jelly’s songs aren’t the only thing likely to appear at SummerSlam: Levesque’s announcement also teases an appearance from the man himself.
“Btw, [Jelly Roll], let me know if you’re free on Aug. 3 to play a few songs for the [WWE Universe]…” he wrote at the end of his post.
“Sounds like a good time to me, Bubba!” Jelly replied in the comments section. “I’ll have my people call your people!”

Jelly Roll has some history with the WWE. Last November, he had a front-row seat to WWE Raw in Nashville, and he even got involved in the fighting, shoving wrestlers JD McDonagh and Dominik Mysterio during an outside-the-ring confrontation.
During an interview at the event, the country superstar hinted that he’d be up for a rematch. “I feel like there’s some unfinished business now,” he said. “Makes me wanna lose a little weight and go kick Dominik’s ass.”
The WWE SummerSlam is set for Aug. 3.
