“Music is in my DNA. Sharing this moment with NMAAM and the Gaither Music team is something I could never have imagined or prayed for. It’s a dream that transcends asking,” said Chris Blue. “To have this honor woven into the fabric of Black Music History and to share it with a crowd of family and friends left me speechless. This donation represents that moment when my heart was also full of hope, trepidation, and ultimately thankfulness. My heart is overflowing with gratitude and thankfulness for or the goodness of God!”

“Chris Blue delivered an exceptional evening at NMAAM. Events like this showcase the strength of our continued partnership and the shared commitment to celebrating artistry, culture, and meaningful storytelling,” said Paul Sizelove, President of Sun Label Group & Gaither Music.

Bill Jeffries, Executive Director of the museum, said, “At NMAAM, our mission is to educate, preserve, and celebrate the immeasurable impact of Black music. Our partnership with Sun Label Group and Gaither Music supports that mission, and Chris Blue reflects it. He captured the sound and soul of Black music today. His performance is a powerful reminder of why NMAAM exists.”

Chris Blue recently released a new holiday album and DVD, Every Day Is Christmas, via Gaither Music Group. The project features unprecedented mixes that mirror the spirit of the season like a pop-leaning (and Prince style/funk-tinged groove rendition) of “Go, Tell It on the Mountain,” an elegant version of “Silent Night,” an anthemic “O Come All Ye Faithful (Glory Dawns),” and Blue’s tender-yet-stirring performance of “Mary, Did You Know.” The project also includes an iconic cover of Harry Connick Jr.’s, “I Pray on Christmas” (featuring The Gaither Vocal Band). The project was produced by three-time Academy of Country Music winner and veteran producer, Gordon Mote. The collection simultaneously features a wide array of seasonal favorites, familiar carols, and Christmas favorites. The album also included vocals with The Gaither Vocal Band, Autumn Nelon-Streetman, Tamara Bodie, and Voices of Lee.

Every Day Is Christmas is available now on both a DVD and CD, with a TV special which will air on TV networks on December 13th and 14th (on TBN, RFD-TV, UPtv, Vision, TCT, The Walk TV, TLN, The Word Network, The Miracle Channel, CTS, CTN, Proclaim Broadcasting, and Heartland. You can also hear and/or watch some of the content on music streaming services and the Gaither Music TV YouTube channel (with over 4 million+ subscribers). Check current airtimes and TV listings at Gaither.com here.

The release follows Blue’s acclaimed 2024 project, Foundations: The Hymns of My Heart (Gaither Music), which topped the Gospel Album Charts (10+M views) and earned the singer his first GMA DOVE nomination, cementing not only Blue’s vocal talents, but also his reputation as one of gospel music’s most compelling new voices.
