Blake Shelton Only Requires Three Things Backstage Before Shows

Blake Shelton just released a new song called “Texas.” Shelton stopped by Taste of Country Nights to reveal some things that he has been up to lately, and to talk music with host Evan Paul.

During the conversation, Shelton made a comment about working on a new album as well, on which his new song, “Texas,” would appear.

That would naturally come with some touring and playing shows, so we asked the “Happy Anywhere” singer what he requires backstage in his dressing room before each show. Shelton, in true country boy fashion, only has three things he needs.

Shelton said, “I need Sprite Zero and vodka. It’s pretty simple. That’s it. I don’t want Cheeze-Its, you don’t have to put gum back there, no green M&Ms. Sprite Zero, vodka and ice.”

From the feel of the interview, Shelton was cheekily throwing jabs at those artists who require some other more intricate things backstage, although he wasn’t naming any names.

Shelton has some shows already lined up for 2025. He will be hitting the road starting in February, and he has shows scheduled already through at least March of 2025.

In the interview, Shelton also expressed the urgency that his label is putting on him to finish the album that he is working on. If you put two and two together, it looks like we are gearing up for a Q1 Shelton album release and a nice tour to follow.
