Lainey Wilson to Perform at Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade 2025

Lainey Wilson is officially joining the 99th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade lineup, Rolling Stone can exclusively announce. The award-winning country artist — and her famous bell bottoms — will take the stage in front of the Macy’s in Midtown Manhattan’s Herald Square.

Wilson is expected to perform her hits during the beloved parade, which will also include performances from Busta Rhymes, Lil Jon, Teyana Taylor, Ciara, Kool & the Gang, EJAE, Audrey Nuna, REI AMI, and more. Wicked star and singer Cynthia Erivo will open the parade with a performance. The event will include Broadway numbers delivered by casts from Buena Vista Social Club, Just in Time, and Ragtime, as well as an appearance by the Radio City Rockettes®, who are celebrating their 100th anniversary.

The parade organizers expect more than 3.5 million people to attend the parade, which will begin at 8:30 a.m. ET; it airs on NBC and Peacock. The broadcast, hosted by Today’s Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb and Al Roker, will encore on NBC at 2 p.m. ET/PT. This year, 5,000 volunteers, 34 balloons, four balloonicles, 28 floats, 14 specialty units, 33 clown groups, and 11 marching bands — and of course, Santa Claus — will participate in the holiday showcase.

Today’s announcement comes on the heels of Wilson hosting the 2025 CMA Awards, where she also was named Entertainer of the Year. Wilson recently expressed her lifelong affinity for the CMA Awards while rehearsing for the showcase.

“We were either watching bull riding or the CMA Awards and we were just not going to miss it,” she said. “I mean, it was like the Super Bowl of our house, and I just remember all of us coming together, my daddy would get off the tractor and it was like our night as a family to sit there and watch it together and see what everybody was wearing and watching the interactions between artists to see who were friends with who, and it was one of my favorite childhood memories with my family for sure.”
