I was born and raised in New Hampshire—just seven miles from the shortest seacoast in the U.S. (true fact!). That close connection to the ocean sparked a lifelong love for the sea, and I spent every summer there with my parents. In college, I even worked four summer seasons as an ocean lifeguard in Maine—swimming daily in water that rarely topped 55 degrees!
Around 7th grade, I caught another lifelong bug: radio. I soaked up every local station I could find—especially the big “flame-throwers” out of Boston. I studied Journalism and Broadcasting at the University of New Hampshire and got my start on WUNH 93.1 FM. My first paid gig came right after graduation at a small Top 40 station in Sanford, Maine (WSME AM & FM) —and I never looked back.
Today, I live in sunny West Palm Beach, Florida, where I’ve called home for over 40 years now and where the ocean is much warmer. I’ve worked in just about every format—Top 40, Rock, Country, Jazz, Oldies—but Oldies have always been my favorite. It’s the soundtrack of my life.
I’ve also owned a mobile DJ business since college, spinning tunes and emceeing thousands of events—especially weddings, my favorite! I’m a proud dad of four amazing kids, three of whom have worked alongside me in the DJ world. Maybe my youngest will be next. And I even have a bird named Kylo who never shuts up—proof that he comes from a radio background.
I’m thrilled to be on Retro Radio sharing the greatest hits of the ’60s, ’70s, and ’80s with you. Drop me a note anytime to say hi or request your favorite song.
See you on the airwaves. Rock on!
