Walmart is usually the go-to place for groceries, electronics, clothing, medication … you name it. But not this year. Not on this day.
You’ll want to plan ahead as we move toward the holidays — every single Walmart will be closed on Thanksgiving Day this year.
This is the fifth straight year that one of the largest companies in the world has decided to cease operations at all locations for 24 hours.
“Walmart stores will be closed once again on Thanksgiving Day so associates can spend the day with their families,” a Walmart spokesperson says.
Walmart employs more than 2 million people, and they want their workers to take the day off and spend it with the people they love.
Buckle up, this stat will take you for a ride: Each day, Walmart makes $1.67 billion across all of its platforms. That breaks down to $1.16 million per minute!
So, the fact that the company is willing to lose out on $1.67 billion dollars to let its employees have the day to rest and spend with their loved ones is quite a statement. Prior to 2019 and the COVID-19 pandemic, this wasn’t the norm for Walmart, but they seem to have found a new purpose: Let employees have a break.
So, be warned, if you run out of buttermilk at the last minute for your famous mashed potatoes, you will be out of luck.
Walmart’s 2024 Christmas hours have not yet been revealed.

Country Artists Who Are Unrecognizable Without Their Signature Looks

For others artists, their signature look may be a ball cap or sunglasses. These items are so engrained with an artist that it’s almost uncomfortable to see them without them. But we went there anyway.

PICTURES: See Inside Carrie Underwood’s Breathtaking Nashville Mansion
Carrie Underwood and her husband, Mike Fisher, owned a 4-bedroom, 4-bathroom, 2-half-bathroom home in an affluent Nashville suburb called Brentwood. The 7,000-square-foot mansion features a wet bar, fitness center and tennis court, as well as a four-car garage, walk-out basement with heated marble floors and extra appliances, including a sub-zero fridge and wine fridge. That house is where Underwood suffered a devastating fall in 2017.
The couple sold the luxurious home for $1,410,000 in March of 2019, after they moved into the massive dream home that they had spent several years building from scratch.
