Elle King is pregnant with her second baby, and she shared the news with a short and to-the-point gender reveal video.
King, her partner Dan Tooker and their son, Lucky, are all on hand for the surprising moment. Watch her share the news of her second baby in the video below.
- Last week, King revealed that she and Tooker were back together, telling People it was for the good of Lucky.
- A timeline and reason for their breakup was never clear, but rumors that they’d separated first popped up in 2023.
- Lucky — King’s first child — was born in 2021.
The video finds Tooker backstage at Billy Bob’s in Fort Worth, Texas, pulling a rope to release blue balloons and confetti. A background behind them reads “boy” and “girl” — presumably neither knew what Baby No. 2 would be until that very moment.
“Lucky” is also the name of a song on King’s Come Get Your Wife album.
The baby news continues a very up-and-down year for King. It started in January when she appeared drunk onstage during a Dolly Parton tribute concert. After failing to remember the words to the song she was singing and taking aim at the audience, she disappeared for several months.
After returning to the public spotlight, King owned the incident and said she’d made significant changes in her life.
“I did let people down that day,” King tells People. “And ultimately, I let myself down that day, and I never wanted to feel that way again .. I’m definitely able to put on a better show because of some changes that I’ve made in my life, and it gets me more excited.”
King’s Baby Daddy’s Weekend Tour resumes this week with dates through the end of 2024. She just released dropped a new song called “High Road.”
