Brantley Gilbert’s Wife Won’t Let Him Tattoo This Body Part

Brantley Gilbert’s Wife Won’t Let Him Tattoo This Body Part

Brantley Gilbert has a lot of tattoos. His new album is even called Tattoos, and just by looking at the cover art, you can see how much he loves getting inked.

Gilbert’s chest, arms and back are covered in tattoos — his famous back tatt is a double pistol — they’re all over his body!

Well, except one spot — Gilbert’s wife, Amber, says no way when he asks if he should get tattooed on one of the few remaining blank canvases.

Gilbert stopped by to chat with Taste of Country Nights: On Demand, and host Evan Paul asked him: Is there any body part that’s off limits to tattoo artists? Could he get his face inked, a la Jelly Roll?

The “Over When We’re Sober” singer admits that his wife of 9 years “wouldn’t be stoked about face.”

“The neck thing, I have what I want to do — it wraps all the way around my head,” he explains. Even that was a point of contention for Amber, who wasn’t crazy about the idea.

Hypothetically, should he ever decide to take the plunge on a face tattoo, how would it go over?

“She’ll cut off the cuddling, bro, and I can’t be having that,” Gilbert jokes. “You know what I’m saying?”

“I’d rather be dead than to not cuddle,” he admits.

So, no face tattoos are in Brantley Gilbert’s future. Tattoos is his new studio album, packed with personal songs. It hit shelves on Sept. 13.
