The Tennessee Safari Park boasts a 7.5-mile drive through safari and a 20-acre walk. Guests are promised close-up interactions with the animals, as well as a chance to feed them.
On Monday, cops were called when a camel bit a guest (allegedly). As they arrived, they were “overtaken by suspicious odors coming from the guest’s vehicle.”
The charge was two counts of child endangerment and illegal possession of Schedule I, illegal possession of Schedule VI narcotics. Slaton has two kids, ages four and two.
Brian Scott Lovvorn was also in the vehicle, and he too, was charged. Both were booked in the Crockett County jail. It’s not clear who was bitten by the camel and police haven’t described the type of drugs found.
