Late Lou Dobbs’ Spectacular Estate Find a Buyer [Pictures]

Late Fox Business and CNN star Lou Dobbs’ lavish Florida estate has found a buyer, shortly after the controversial political pundit’s death in July.

Dobbs listed his 4-bedroom, 4.5-bathroom, 5,111-square-foot mansion in West Palm Beach, Fla., for $3.1 million in April of 2024.

The asking price for the estate reduced to $2.9 million on July 16, just days before the 78-year-old conservative pundit’s death was announced on July 18.

Dobbs’ ultra-luxurious residence went under contract on July 24, according to online property sites. The deal has not yet closed, and the selling price is not yet disclosed. If the estate received its asking price, it would break down to $567 per square foot and a monthly payment of $20,584.

Dobbs’ imposing Mediterranean-style mansion occupies just under three-quarters of an acre in a high-dollar area of West Palm Beach. The stunning property nestles among palm trees, with direct waterfront access to a lake.

The jaw-dropping estate offers stone floors, high ceilings, arched doorways and oversized windows that afford plenty of natural light.

The living room boasts a coffered ceiling, floor-to-ceiling windows and an oversized fireplace, while the massive primary suite offers a separate sitting area and a spa-like bathroom that overlooks a private courtyard.

Dobbs hosted Moneyline and subsequently Lou Dobbs Tonight on CNN until 2009, when the network parted ways with him after he drew widespread criticism by mainstreaming the “birtherism” conspiracy theory that falsely claimed President Barack Obama was not born in America and was not a citizen.

Dobbs then moved to Fox Business until February of 2021, when the conservative network canceled his show after voting technology company Smartmatic named Dobbs and Fox in a $2.7 billion defamation lawsuit provoked in part by his false coverage of the 2020 election. Dobbs was one of several Fox hosts who pushed the non-factual claim that Smartmatic and other voting machine companies had helped “rig” the election.

Dobbs hosted the Great America Show on iHeartRadio at the time of his death.
