With all of the airline woes as of late, travelling in America via plane seems to be getting harder and harder.

Imagine getting all packed up, driving to the airport, parking your car, getting past security, getting to the gate, then anxiously awaiting to board your flight only to see the pilot walk past you in handcuffs.

Airline Passengers See Pilot Arrested Before Boarding Plane

Passengers waiting to board Frontier flight 3195 to Dallas/Fort Worth this weekend were treated to a Cops-like situation that unfolded right in front of their faces.

Their pilot was arrested by the Houston Police Department at George Bush Intercontinental Airport on Aug. 1.

Officers boarded the aircraft around 4 p.m. and identified the pilot as Seymour Walker, 45, who was wanted on an assault-family violence warrant issued by the DFW International Airport Department of Public Safety.

Walker was taken into custody without incident before passengers began boarding.

Due to the fact that there wasn’t another pilot on standby, the flight then had to abruptly be cancelled. In a perfect world, there would be a bullpen full of pilots sitting in the airport lounge, on-call and ready, but that is most certainly not the case.

Passengers were given several options, including a full refund, flight credit, or re-accommodation on the next available Frontier flight later that day. The airline provided a $100 flight voucher and overnight hotel accommodations as necessary.

According to records, Walker bonded out of jail rather quickly and was free again, but no word on his job status.
